A maid’s room was transformed into micro apartment to maximize the building function. This micro apartment design is a remodeled living space from previously a maid’s room inside heritage architectural building in Paris. With only 8 Sqm of space, this micro apartment can accommodate single dweller need. The interior concept of this apartment intended for young single woman.
With only 8 sqm floor, the creativity to make useful furniture become key concept to transform the space. Built-in furniture with foldaway system, sliding, and pull-out and pull-in mechanical design installed. Above part of built-in furniture become bedroom. Not mezzanine bedroom, but more like a box with bed or mattress. The bedroom seems like capsule hotel in Japan.
Lower part of foldaway built-in furniture is divided into parts of storage. Below the capsule sleeping area, a multi-function storage become stairs to access the bedroom above. Next to stairs/storage, a tiny wardrobe exists. Next to it is storage for dining table and chairs. Pull out the board, and dining table will come out. The best thing inside this tiny apartment is bathroom interior. The tiny tiles materials application for bathroom walls is really interesting.
