Situated in the top floor if 50’s building, this apartment redesigned and reconfigured become stylish penthouse without eliminate the 50’s elements. Both interior and exterior designed in clear-lines; light, greenery, cityscapes and fluid, flexible and open spaces characterized by compositional and geometrical clarity, lightness and transparency.
This penthouse consists of three parts volume. First is living floor with overhanging terrace with a glazed part, consist of family room, kitchen, dining, and bathrooms. A second part on higher level is solarium/verandah (small glass volume), surrounding by belvedere structure area of greenery terrace and attractive sheltered fences structure. Third part is decking terrace with plantation garden area on the solarium.
With basic white tone, the interior design order really awesome; clear area subdivisions support by opening spaces structure create a spacious, harmonious, and relaxing atmosphere. Interesting design in the living room is built-in library bookshelves in plywood unify with the staircase that connect to solarium. Steel kitchen also become unique elements. Small glass volume of solarium intended as studio workspace. The project was designed by architect Jeanne Cornelius, partner of CLS Architetti.
